Product Insights is a ready-made product analytics application for Joget DX 9, built for product managers and growth leads at software and subscription businesses. Product Insights holds six record types: acquisition channels, product features, signup cohorts, revenue months, experiments and metric alerts.
Product teams at subscription businesses usually keep these numbers in separate files. Signup counts sit in one spreadsheet, feature adoption in another, cohort retention in a third, and monthly recurring revenue in whatever the finance team last exported. Answering a question from a founder or a board member means reopening last month's workbook and rebuilding the figure by hand. The alternative, a dedicated product analytics platform, needs a licence, an SDK shipped inside the product and an engineer to keep the pipeline running.
Key Features
Records acquisition channels with source type, signups, paid customers and customer acquisition cost, then charts signups against paid customers for organic, paid, referral and social sources.
Tracks product features with active users, adoption percent and a rising, steady or watch trend, grouped by feature area.
Stores weekly signup cohorts with cohort size and week 1, week 2, week 4 and week 8 retention percentages, and plots the three retention horizons on one chart.
Keeps each revenue month with monthly recurring revenue, annual recurring revenue, new business, expansion, contraction and churn percent on a single row.
Logs experiments with variant lift percent, statistical confidence percent and a ship, hold, iterate or pending rollout decision.
Raises metric alerts by type (drop, spike, anomaly or threshold breach) against an observed value, a threshold value and the team that owns the metric.
Counts every information tile from the records underneath it, so the figure on the page and the table below it cannot disagree.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Product Insights connect to an analytics tool like Amplitude or Mixpanel?
Product Insights ships no analytics SDK and no built-in connector. Every page sits on an ordinary Joget form and table, so any method that can write to a Joget form can load it: the Joget API, a JSON or web service call from a data warehouse, or a scheduled import. This keeps product data on the same platform as the rest of an organisation's Joget applications.
Can the fields be changed?
Yes. Each of the six pages sits on a standard Joget form, so fields are added, renamed or removed in the Form Builder and the corresponding table and chart follow. Source types, feature areas, trends, severities and rollout decisions are fixed option lists on those forms and are edited the same way.
What Joget version does Product Insights need?
Product Insights runs on Joget DX 9. Product Insights uses standard forms, datalists and userview components, with charts drawn by the bundled chart element.
Is the sample data included?
Product Insights ships with example records on all six pages so the charts and tiles render on first open. Delete them and record your own figures, or import your history through the same forms.
Getting started:
The app's own Getting Started page walks the first record in five actions, naming the menu, the button and the fields at each step.
